The West behind the Cosmos
This beautiful light is a spot o last rays backlighting these lusciously pink petals. There was a Little yellow fill, perhaps, coming from my yellow house siding, but most of the nice warm glow on the yellow center is from those glowing petals.

Mystery?
A news story I once read, about a home fire originating in the bathroom, ended with a line, “No explanation was given for why the candle was burning in the bathroom”
I Had to wonder if that wasn’t the writer’s sense of humor.

Shadow Cat – my cat, Chai, kindly leaves me his sheddings on my bed, most afternoons, where I can collect them with a sticky roller. Isn’t that nice of him?
I took all the color out of the original and used the “split-tone” function in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.3, to get this warm tone.
