Hellebore, Feeling for Summer

Just enough warm sunny skies before they turn flat and gray-blue. These plants are usually pretty hardy in the cold, so I won’t mourn this promising bloom, yet, even though it will have to endure possible light snows twice in the next couple of days, with below freezing temps and blustery winds to test it.

I believe I MUST have more varieties of Hellebore to play with!

The image was made with a 12mm macro extension tube, four focus-stacked frames, edited with Lightroom 5.6, and a pass through Photoshop CC and On One’s Perfect Effects 8, all to tweak colors, local details and local tonality.

Emerging Health

Cosmos after last night’s storm. I had been keeping an eye on it, for three days; it popped on the day that it would be eligible for the Google+ community’s MacroMonday  group’s mini-theme, “Pink”, for breast cancer awareness.
