Bedraggled, Bejeweled, Beautiful !

Another “after the rains” photo. A cool breeze had this blossom gently bobbing, so I had to choose my moments of stillness, while the sun had not cleared the house and trees, yet. Already it’s golden influence held promise of warm comfort.

After the Storms

After the Storms

Cheers!

My first bloom, this year celebrated the departure of tornadic activity in my area, earlier this week. This rendition of its portrait was enhanced in Lightroom 5.4, to give it the stormy blues, and in Perfect Effects 8 to bring some added detail and warmth, selectively. (The water drops are totally naturally occuring; none were added by the photographer, this time.)

A little white crab spider on a Japanese Maple leaf spike, shot with a 12mm macro extension tube, processed with an adapted “cross process” preset in Lightroom 5.4. I also applied localized enhanced clarity and warmed white balance shift on the leaf and spider, to pop them off the negative clarity enhanced background. #waynewarp   #spider
