Hellebore, not quite HelleBorn

Hellebore Opens for Budness.
I like these flowers, when they bloom, yet I am not sure what will happen to this blossom, as it exposed its tender flesh to the elements about three days before the Serious Cold dipped South.

small sunflower, cut, and taken into the studio, back when it was in season, and  as photographers are wont to do, kept while it dried out. In Lightroom 4.3, tweaks and split tones were added, background lighting simulated with local brushings, etc.

A shy -but Warm- Alstroemeria inside the window of a fast food restaurant on a winter’s day.


There has, indeed, been some processing to give the new bud the stage: overall tweaking of tonalities as well as localized adjustments in Adobe Lightroom 4.3, to give a hint of selective focus, a la “tiltshift” effect. Also, mild vignetting, and localized color balance tweaking and tonal treatments were applied to each end of this long horizontal “dual monitor desktop” cropping.
